Professional background

I am a UK educated person and lived in the UK between 1977 and 1992. I have dual citizenship (UK and Turkish).

My main achievement in business was turning around a failing small family business in commercial refrigeration, which was also the reason for my return to my home country back in 1992.

I managed to turn around that company and made joint ventures with a number of companies in Italy, Denmark, Austria and Germany. We became partners, and our joint venture became a global supplier for RedBull, PepsiCo, Tuborg, Becks, etc. Later on, we raised funds from ADM Capital based in Hong Kong and also London. I sold that company in 2008, at EBITDA x25 to Frigoglas, a Greek public company operating in commercial refrigeration and glass production. The main shareholders are the Levantis and Davies families, who are also the owners of the largest bottlers of Coke outside the USA, Coca Cola Hellenic.

Since 2008 I have been visiting the UK regularly and funded a number of property deals with some of my friends. The last one was in Chester Square in London. I bought the property back in 2009. Together with my wife, we decorated it and used it during our visits to the UK and sold it in 2011 with a good profit.

I am now looking for opportunities as an angel investor. My maximum ticket size would be 100k if I really like the project, but I would prefer to have 3 projects at 30k each rather than risking 100k for a single project. I could consider mentoring as I have extensive knowledge in industry and in Finance too.

I am only interested in looking at projects within the UK for now.
