International business plan competition offers up to US$1M seed or venture funding

Preston & Walker, a Singapore-based investment firm that focuses on buyout and growth capital opportunities around the world, has just launched a new international business plan competition that promises up to US$1M to a winning idea that is global in scope.
Participants of any nationality will have to submit their business plan on the website at http://prestonwalker.com/bpc/member-registration/, which will then be judged by a team of “anonymous millionaire judges”. A small registration fee will be charged.
The judges will pick ideas they’re interested in and contact participants to find out more. The winning team will not only receive the prize money, but will also get mentorship and help with the development of the idea. Submission deadline is 31st December 2011, and the winners will be announced by end January 2012.
“The judges of the Preston & Walker contest will be particularly on the lookout for ideas that create jobs, turn liabilities into assets, provide social entrepreneurship, or help the people of the world improve their lives and wealth,” said the press release.
Participants may belong to a start-up or early stage venture.
